The Future Fund has today announced two new senior internal appointments that will further strengthen the Investment Team.
Tammi Fisher has been appointed as the Head of Alternatives, reporting to Deputy CIO, Portfolio Construction, Ben Samild. James Waldron has been appointed as Head of Credit, reporting to Deputy CIO, Private Markets, Alicia Gregory.
The two appointments complement the recently announced new Investment Team structure being put in place as the organisation responds to the challenges presented by the evolving macro environment.
Future Fund CEO, Dr Raphael Arndt, said the re-positioning of the Investment Team will ensure the organisation has the right structure, people and processes in place to respond to the new investment order that was identified as part of the organisation’s recent investment strategy review.
“It is testament to the talent and capability of the Investment Team that we have been able to fill these two senior roles with internal appointments.
“I am confident that Tammi and James will add great value to the Investment Team – and the Agency – in these leadership positions,” he continued.
Tammi commences as the new Head of Alternatives, having initially joined the Agency in February 2021 as Director, Private Equity. Tammi has had an extensive career in the investment industry and was recruited to the Future Fund as part of a widespread global search.
Meanwhile, James commences in the newly created role of Head of Credit, having acted in the position since June 2022. James has significant tenure with the Agency, having started with the organisation as an Analyst, Debt and Alternatives, in 2009 and progressing through various roles until his appointment as Director, Debt in 2019.
As a result of the Investment Team restructure and the realignment of portfolio responsibilities, Craig Dandurand, Head of Debt, has left the organisation to pursue new opportunities.
“Craig has made a valuable contribution to the Agency over a number of years; we wish him every success in his future endeavours,” said Dr Arndt.
